Abstract
It is one of the important methods of fire research to investigate fires statistically which occured practically. In this paper, a statistical factor analysis of fire spread in wooden dwellings is made with many fires data prepared by fire offices. As this result, the relationship between fire spread in wooden dwellings and the main factors, was obtained. The contents are as follows; 1. Introduction. 2. The purpose and the method of this research. 3. Preliminary consideration on fire spread in wooden dwellings. 4. Extraction of the main factors. 5. The relationship between fire spread in wooed dwellings and the main factors. 6. Summary.
