Abstract
In 2000, the City Planning Law was revised, and it enabled local planning authorities to choose by themselves whether they designate urban growth control lines in their own areas. After that, urban growth control line actually be abolished in Takamatsu, Marugame and some other in Kagawa Prefecture. This report clarifies the historical details of the urban growth control line in Kagawa Prefecture from their designation to their abolishment.
