Abstract
This report deals with a process of conservation and renovation works of Taiyohken that was built in Kawagoe city. We proposed and executed the renovation method of historic building that was different from the conservation and renovation method for typical cultural properties buildings. This paper shows the process of renovation works that respected the historic values in spite of creative addition for new function. The building of Taiyohken is now designated for important building for urban landscape, and we are following the necessary procedures for registered tangible cultural properties on the basis of this conservation and renovation works results.
