Abstract

Shophouse district is one of the historic environmental assets in the Metropolis of Guangzhou, a historical and cultural city. The paper grasps formation process of conservation system for historical environment and makes clear the present situation of conservation projects on shophouse districts. The paper finally discusses the result and remaining problem of the project in Guangzhou city.
