Abstract
Cross ventilation has the effects to give comfortable feeling by forced convection without any artifical mechanisms. As for the nighttime, it is also useful for cooling down the structure of residence. In this paper, to clarify the heat-removing rate by cross ventilation, the wind tunnel experiments were performed using real scale model house. The distribution of mass transfer coeffient on the floor and indoor wall surfaces were measured by water evaporation method using filter paper. Then heat transfer coefficient was estimated by supposing analogy between mass and heat transfer and its relation to the indoor airflow was also investigated.
