This research is a study of community festival that includes events of 'Parasol Gallery' and 'Video stadium', undertaken for townscape improvement of the Chiba city. 'Parasol Gallery' is a process of enhancement of public events under kiosks of parasols. In the 'Video Stadium', the junior high school students displayed a video program to enlighten the citizens for improvement of living environment and townscape. This research shows the process of making urban spaces livable and a method through which townscape awareness could be spread among citizens.
