The preservation of the Gandhara Buddhist Monuments has various critical issues. We focused the-authentic process of restoration for structural remains in this report. First, we outlined the current situation and history of preservation in this area and pointed out the problematic issues of the process of restoration and excavation. Secondly, we tried to trance the scientific way of restoration in the case of the South-west Stupa at Ranigat site and establish appropriate way of restoration in this area.
