ON THE QUESTIONNAIRE SURVEY FOR ESTIMATION OF THE SEISMIC INTENSITY DISTRIBUTION IN MITSUKE-CITY CAUSED BY 2004 MID-NIIGATA EARTHQUAKE(Disaster)

Abstract

In this paper, authors report the results of questionnaire survey to estimate the seismic intensity distribution in Mitsuke-City affected by 2004 Mid Niigata earthquake. The result has shown the local difference in seismic intensity distribution, and the plain area were high seismic intensities and serious seismic damages corresponding to geomorphological feature. The seismic intensity by questionnaire survey was agreement with the observed seismic intensity at city hall.
