Abstract
The main objects of this study are as follows:
1) to grasp the elderly people's daily life activities in the downtown dwelling area of Tokyo;
2) to investigate various conditions in the area i.e. public facilities, transport conditions, housing conditions etc. which might contribute elderly to live in their own home area;
3) to know relationship between the elderly people's daily life activities and the surrounding conditions.
Kanda area of Chiyoda ward of Tokyo is the area chosen for this study. Research was effectuated through questionnaire survey and interview investigation.
