THE CONSTRUCTION AND THE USE OF ‘POOL WOODEN STOREHOUSE’ IN SENHOKU AREA, AKITA

Abstract

This report presents the result of the investigation about 8 wooden storehouses in Senhoku area in Akita. Most of these houses are distributed at the foot of mountains. They are constructed on a pool by close-set pillars style and repairable bottom. A few systems to protect against fire, crime, mouse and a mechanism to control air condition for stock rice are confirmed. These characters regard as a result to make use of springs.
