A STUDY ON BENCH MARKING SURVEY OF FACILITY OPERATIONAL EXPENSE ON UNIVERSITIES

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to carry out bench marking survey of facility operational expense and to clarify the gap between the university types, scale, and positioning of expenses per square meter, in order to introduce facility management in universities. It analyzed to 14 national and private universities of Chubu district, and 7 ex-imperial universities by investigating operational expense, which consists of maintenance and energy expense. As a result, it turned out that there is a remarkable difference how to spend expense between national university and private university.
