Abstract
Akita Senboku Earthquake of 1914 was a large inland earthquake with magnitude 7.1, which claimed 94 lives and injured 324 people. In Akita city only a few damage of 3 casualties, 3 house collapse and 4 half collapse are found in research reports but it is considered that damage was not specified enough. In this study, literature survey on damage in Akita city is done referring newspaper articles at that time. In the result, more damage information can be revealed and detailed damage distribution about houses, ground and human damage in Akita city is specified.
