Abstract
We have developed an evacuation calculation tool “stairs simulator”.
This is a tool for dividing the space in stairs with a small space where has the capacity for “the number of the people who can move inside the stairs within one minute”, (which this paper calls cell), and calculating the events which mean the residents’ entrance into the stairs on every floor, the confluence with the evacuators from upper floors which occurs when they enter the stairs and going out of the stairs on the evacuation floor by using time-history in sequence.
It can show the floor direction distribution of evacuators within the facilities and the influence on evacuation of distribution in the horizontal direction in graphs and animations by using short-time input and calculation time.
