Abstract
In order to establish a method to evaluate the seismic performance of existing wooden houses by microtremor measurements, we studied the possibility of using natural frequency as an index.
We could obtain a higher correlation between the natural frequency of a house calculated from the stiffness of the walls and the weight of the house, and the natural frequency from microtremor of the house, by using the stiffness acquired without applying reduction factor with joints, foundation and deterioration. The correlation was also improved greatly by using the stiffness in the microdeformation instead of that which is currently used for seismic diagnosis.
