Abstract
By the East Japan great earthquake, great damage occurred because of an unprecedented tsunami over a wide area, but the construction damage by the earthquake vibration was not serious. There are relatively few damages of the configuration of the building, but a large number of damage occurs about the building service. This return performed the examination about the plumbing system damage in the description of some damaging earthquakes which occurred in the Tohoku district after 1978 and the East Japan great earthquake and gathered up matters that require attention about seismic design of building equipment, execution, maintenance.
