Abstract
In recent years, vacant buildings and vacant lands are increasing in local cities of Japan. Many of vacant buildings are converted into community spaces providing public services. On the other hand, vacant lands can be converted into open spaces for unspecific use. This study practices on making usual places for community with live configurations in an open space. Wooden cubes are concretely produced for the spatial design. As a result, we revealed that the wooden cubes can form various places for community.The wooden cubes stimulate people’s activities, and those configurations show characteristics of spaces.
