Abstract

The Kashinozaki Lighthouse Keeper’s Residence was designed by Richard Henry Brunton in 1870.
140 years later, the residence had fallen into a state of disrepair, prompting the town of Kushimoto to conduct a restoration project from 2010 until 2011.
In this report, we examine the restoration and preservation methods of the project.
