STUDY ON FAILURES AND TROUBLES ABOUT BUILDING ELEMENTS IN HOSPITAL FACILITY

Abstract

The maintenance records often fail to utilize for any maintenance plans, because the maintenances staffs hardly release and analyze the data. The purpose of this study, from the view point of practical value, is to give fundamental information about the failures and troubles of building elements, which contributes to rationalization of the maintenance plan. In this study, 5 hospitals were researched and the total 43281 pieces of information were collected. The failures and troubles about building elements account 10 to 20 percent of total number (6144 pieces). Its data finds a higher incidence of early failure and troubles. The most building element occurring failures and troubles is doors of all.
