AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE VERIFICATION OF BUILDING ENVIRONMENTAL EFFICIENCY FOR WORKPLACE PRODUCTIVITY IMPROVEMENT

Abstract

In recent years, research has been promoted into the improvement in workplace performance by the Workplace Productivity Research Consortium in IBEC,^{1) 2)} and awareness of workplace productivity in offices has been increasing in Japan as a technically advanced country. The O building ³⁾, which was completed in 2011, is a research office, in which various workplaces are configured to improve productivity; the dwelling environment including air conditioning systems is designed for application to that “location,” and verification is carried out in the operational stage. An outline of this work is presented as our knowledge of the importance of workplace productivity in the future.
