Abstract

Public Involvement such as consensus building and habitant participation has been recently becoming more important particularly regarding large scale or public project planning development process. The reason is that Public Involvement enables us to enhance the transparency and objectivity of project during the development process and also to improve the final quality of the project. An old village in Gifu prefecture called Tokuyama disappeared due to Tokuyama dam construction. In this research, the transfiguration in the emotions of the villagers of old Tokuyama village during the resettlement period were investigated.
