Abstract
PMV control system was applied for a ceiling radiation cooling/heating system utilizing groundwater as heat source/sink. One of our main aims in studying a groundwater-based radiant air-conditioning system is to develop an equipment system and control method that make it possible to maintain a comfortable indoor thermal environment by circulating cold water cooled by heat exchange with groundwater without the need to use a heat pump in summer.
This paper describes the differences of the indoor thermal environment and system energy consumption between ceiling radiation and floor radiation under PMV control in summer cooling case.
