Abstract

The purpose of this research is to clarify the tendency of parking lots planning of urban apartment houses due to parking lot obligation system and district characteristics to show future issues of townscape design. We conducted the observation survey and analysis for apartment houses in the southern area of Naka-Ward, Nagoya City. The results are as follows, 1) Studio apartments are difficult to secure a parking lot where installation is mandatory.2) Studio apartments have low priority for landscape maintenance and low green rate. 3) By greening the parking lot, the greening ratio can be improved efficiently.
