Abstract

Through collecting and analyzing civil cases of fall accidents from 2000 to 2017, the fact that the judgment which the facility managers were liable for fall accidents due to the facility defects had occupied the majority was found. And the study of the causes of falls by facility type revealed that “slip” occupied for about 70% in the commercial facilities, “stumbling” occupied majority in the road facilities, “slip” and “step off” occupied 50% in the public facilities, and “stumbling” occupied 100% in the common space of the residential facilities.
