Abstract

The purpose of this study is to estimate the value of the conventional easy access system assuming Wheelchair users and the value of measures due to the spread of COVID-19 infection. This study conducted a questionnaire survey for the elderly in central Tokyo. As a result of the “Contingent Valuation Method,” the value of “installing an elevator” and “installing an escalator” and “disinfection of places that passengers can easily touch” was high. The elderly have stress when moving up and down at the station. Besides, they tend to worry about direct contact with their hands, such as train railings.
