Abstract

A gymnasium with small LED luminaires and daylighting was completed. This gymnasium uses small LED luminaires to reduce glare. Also, this gymnasium has mirror duct system and automatic lighting control system. Measurement of luminance distribution and glare evaluation experiment were conducted. The result of measurement of luminance distribution showed that daylighting reduced luminous flux from the luminaire which in turn reduced the high luminance area. In addition, the result of the subjective experiment showed that glare could be reduced in the gymnasium where small LED lighting luminaires were distributed as shown in previous studies.
