Abstract

This paper discusses the planning of school library as a “place” based on the library use consciousness and behaviors of students in junior high school. We took questionnaire survey for three school libraries. The junior high student recognized school library with a place reading books, as a place spending time with friends or staying calmly alone, as well as a place borrowing books. In the school libraries where magazines and general books are substantial, students spread in various places in the library and developed use actions various there. The school library needs substantial collection books and various stay places.
