Abstract

‘Todai Mokei’ has a distinctive wooden frame technology with through pillars. Specifically, this technique is a combination of pillars that run through the first to the third floor and staggered by pillars that run through the lower and upper floors. Floor beams called “sashimono” are connected to four sides of the pillar. There is also a “mawaribanduke”, which is a combination of “hiragana” and numbers.
