This article examines the prices of architectural sheet glass published in “THE JAPAN TIMES” from the end of the early modern period to the early modern period. The following points become clear. “THE JAPAN TIMES” made it possible to know the value of one box of architectural sheet glass from 1865 to 1869. Adjusting these values for exchange rates and price coefficients, 10.45 ryo per box in 1865 and 5.64 ryo in 1869.
