PRACTICAL EDUCATION OF ARCHITECTURE WITH COMPETITION AND SELF-BUILD OF TEA HOUSE PART 1: TEA HOUSE OF THINNED TIMBER

Abstract

This study was a self-build project of the tea house that selected as the first prize of competition held by the faculty and reunion of graduates. The theme of the competition was thinned timber, the material produced in Osaka prefecture, where Kindai University situate. The study was a collaboration between local Industry and University.
