There is a lack of information on improving the living environment for children with disabilities. Therefore, we developed an assessment tool for families regarding the development of a defecation environment for children with disabilities. The purpose of this study is to show the usability of the developed tool. We conducted a questionnaire survey and interviews with parents of children with physical disabilities. As a result, many parents were inspired to think about their children’s defecation environment. In addition, workshops using the tool were held to demonstrate its usefulness.
