Architectural structures are becoming increasingly complex, and there are many cases in which multiple Building Elements are interrelated and constitute the function of the building. In such cases, it is difficult to explicitly describe the relationships among Building Elements in BIM. Therefore, in this study, using a ceiling radiant heating/cooling system as a subject, we worked on visualization of functional relationships among Building Elements as a basis for complex functional description using a semantic data model, and developed a prototype of a defect investigation system with the data as its core and discussed it.
