Abstract

This paper examines whether satisfaction can be obtained when the temperature difference among rooms is set to be less than 3°C through actual room temperature measurement and interviews. The actual measurements revealed that the temperature difference between rooms was less than 3°C. However, dissatisfaction was expressed by some dwelling units, and the reason for such was surmised. While a temperature difference of less than 3°C is deemed appropriate, an innovative layout should be designed to create a better thermal environment.
