It is very important to understand the seismic performance to improve the seismic safety of traditional wooden houses in Kyoto, and to understand the repair effects of damaged houses will relieve the structural anxiety of the owners and reduce their financial burden. In this study, static horizontal load experiments were conducted on a two-story traditional wooden house in Kyoto and the repair effect was confirmed. The results showed that even if damaged by an earthquake, repair and restoration would result in some loss of bearing capacity, but no significant change in deformation performance.
