Abstract

In order to propose a reconsideration of the level of service in spaces where pedestrians and personal vehicles coexist, this study focused on the level of service, which indicates the level of congestion in walking spaces, and conducted a flow survey and crowd flow simulation in a real station space. The results showed that the most congested areas had level of service E level congestion when personal vehicles were introduced. Based on these results, it is clear that a value of 2.1 [m2/person] or higher is necessary for pedestrians and Personal Vehicles to walk and drive comfortably and safely.
