Glass itself is a flat plate and it is difficult to make H-shaped like steel beam. Therefore, there is a potential risk of deformation exceeding permissible limits. To address this issue, the authors have developed a solution to reduce glass deformation by using slender tempered glass stiffeners. This paper reports the structural behavior of T-shaped glass screens in a series of full-scale experiments under negative pressure considering sealants’ behaviors. These results are compared with the results of finite element analysis applying sealants’ properties from these experiments. This comparison shows the reliability of the proposed system.
