Abstract
UWAYA means a scaffolding with a roof. Before 1953, we didn't know the metal scaffolding in Japan. We used to build log scaffolding by TOBI in traditional way. This study records the art of MARUTA Frame by YOSHIO SAITOU, who, may be the oldest TOBI, had build many UWAYA in traditional stile.
