Abstract
In the previous papers, two Off Miyagi-ken earthquakes of 1897 and 1936 were surveyed by use of newspaper articles at that times and detailed damage distributions were estimated. In this region many damaging earthquakes had been occurred in the intervals of the two major events. In this paper I tried to disclose more data of damaging earthquakes occurred between them. Totally 11 earthquakes were surveyed using newspaper articles. From the location of their epicenters these earthquakes can be classified into 4 types of northern, southern, eastern and far-eastern regions. Damage degree and its distribution were discussed for each type.
