Abstract
The aim of this study is to clarify the significance and the limitation of the child-support program in the suburbs of metropolitan area. After 1990s, the voluntary sector's role has become more significant in the context of diversification in childcare needs. In this study, the questionnaire survey to users and the interview survey to manager of child-support program were conducted in the suburb of Nagoya metropolitan area. The results is that housewives in suburbs participate to manage these services, while there is still the problem of the lack of childcare services there.
