Abstract
The relationship between surface deformations due to liquefaction caused by the 1948 Fukui Earthquake and micro-land forms in Fukui Plain was studied. There are zones where many surface deformations occur. Also, there are observed coarse-grained sediments under fine-grained sediments consist of present flood basin by hand-boring. And these coarse-grained sediments should be consist buried river bed or point-bar. Thus, buried river bed or point bar deposits were liquefied and surface deformation were occurred in the 1948 Fukui Earthquake. And spatial patterns are varied from river's scale and timing of river's flowing.
