Protection and utilization of the Ramsar wetlands in Japan

Abstract

I will report the survey results about the current condition of Ramsar wetlands in Japan. And I will identify similarities and differences between the Ramsar site and the Geo-park, from the survey results. The points of arguments are 1) a strong recognition that a Ramsar site is a wildlife reserve, 2) an understanding that the wise use of Ramsar site in Japan is mainly use for environmental education, 3) a distinctive tourism of Ramsar sites in Japan, and so on. What is the suggestion from Japanese Ramsar sites to Japanese Geo-parks?
