Abstract
The 65 AMeDAS stations in every prefecture except for Tokyo were selected as MAA. For selecting MAA, we considered the several factors such as the increasing rate of SAT (from 1980 to 2007), both the occupation rate of agricultural land and that of urban area around MAA, expansion degree in urban area around agricultural land, and the local environment beside MAA. The increasing rates of SAT of the selected MAA were different in each regions, these values in western Japan was higher compared with those in northern Japan.
