Abstract
The reproduction of Yamase (cold north-easterly wind in Northern Japan) pressure pattern by the atmosphere-ocean general circulation model MIROC5 was analyzed. MIROC5 well estimates the pressure index and Hachinohe temperature in summer (JJA) as same as observation data, it means that the MIROC5 can simulate the northern-high southern-low pressure pattern which is the typical characteristic of Yamase, realistically. To use the EOF analysis for sea-level pressure, two Principal Components well agreed with Yamase pressure pattern and typical Yamase temperature distribution. Since these two PCs were frequently appear in future, Yamase pressure pattern will emerge still in global warming era.
