Abstract
The objective of this study is to analize responses of residents to rural development project conducted by the public organization of Thailand. The project provides livestock such as pigs, ducks and rabbits, seedlings such as rubber trees and coffee trees, and young plants for planting in home gardens. The villagers participate actively in the project. However, some of the dogs raised in each household attacked the ducks and these dogs prevented the project from promoting animal husbandry in the village. In-depth understanding of local situations is required for rural development workers topromote the project.
