Abstract
The purpose of this study is to clear the characters and subjects of urban developments in the dry lands of USA. Some metropolitan area, Las Vegas and Phoenix have succeed in economic growth. But many small towns had declined by the dry up of the mining resources and so on, and had been ghost towns. Many ghost towns are left the remains, but some ghost towns are revival to the tourist resorts or the artists’ villages.
