Abstract
Two types of noodle industries in Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture are actively run by means of cross-industrial associations. The Inaniwa-Udon industry, one of the most famous and traditional Japanese noodle industry, enhances connections with tourist and restaurant businesses. The Komachimen is made by local rice (Akitakomachi), and a product based on new technology. Its industry develops by connecting with many rice farmers and national wholesalers. Such cross-industrial associations are important to develop and maintain those managements and expand in various spatial scales.
