Abstract
Hokkaido Shiribetsu River is known as one of Japan's clear stream, it is a river that boasts a rich spring water due to Niseko mountain range and Mt. Sorrel. However, research on Shiribetsu River is not enough, understand the hydrological characteristics of the entire basin is not performed. You have to understand the seasonal variation of water quality and composition in basin scale through the study of one year from May 2012 in this study. Water quality composition varies greatly in each single tributary, pH indicates alkaline by agricultural runoff due to dairy in mainstream middle section, the impact on the watershed unit is less due to base flow and stop the dam.
It is strongly influenced by geology HCO3-can be seen high in the foothills south Mt.Yotei Looking at each tributary basin. It also includes the acidic by SO42-in tributary originating from Iounupuri, can be seen to influence the mainstream. This study, a variety of water quality composition was observed under the influence of land use and geology, I have seen has a different basin inflow process of snowmelt water in snowmelt season in Shiribetsu River basin. I want to promote a detailed basin analysis than to calculate the amount of load by watershed unit while using the tank model in the future.
