Study on the hydrological characteristics of the basin and the seasonal variation of water quality

A case of the Shiribetu River , Hokkaido

Abstract

Shiribetsu River was known as a clear stream leading Japan, and the lives of a people, river and the springwater by Mt. Yotei are concerned closely. Although water quality observation which carries out Shiribetsu River is performed, the water quality elucidation for the whole drain is not accomplished. In this study, it applied in May, 2012 ~ March, 2013, and performed the water survey late in odd month. Shiribetsu River shows Na-HCO3 type water quality from results of an investigation, it applies downstream, and dissolved matter increases.
