Travel the wonders of Tateyama - Kurobe's space and time: over 4,000meters of elevation difference and 3.8 billion years of history

Abstract

"Tateyama - Kurobe" is conducting promotion activities from 2012 in private initiative to become a full member of Japan Geopark Network on this year. It is in the area on the eastern part of Toyama Prefecture, encompassing 9 localities (Toyama, Uozu, Namerikawa, Kurobe, Funahashi, Kamiichi, Tateyama, Nyuzen, Asahi) and Toyama Bay. The whole theme is “Trying to feel the dynamic story of space and time: 4,000meters of elevation difference and 3.8 billion years of history - lengthy phenomenon of snow, water and earth-.”
