Abstract

Typhoon Haiyan gave devastating impacts on southern parts of Philippines in particular, Leyte in November, 2013. This research attempted to survey the human suffering and progresses of the post-disaster recovery based on a situation report by National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council and a fieldwork conducted by authors. We revealed causes of death and injury by text mapping as well as current status of recovery based on a fieldwork in affected areas.
