Tokyo is one of the largest city in the world exhibiting extensive urban land use, sprawl like extension of urban area, large anthropogenic heat exhaustion, and so on that produce characteristic features in urban temperature distribution. The typical features of nocturnal temperature distribution from November to February under conditions of clear sky and weak wind were analyzed in the Tokyo metropolitan wards area by using data of spatially high density observation from the AMeDAS of JMA, the municipal air pollution monitoring systems, and Extended-METROS from 2006/2007 to 2009/2010.
